These swords are deticated to one of the most famous samurai, Hattori Hanzo, who was born in 1541 in the province of Mikawa. In the neighboring province of Koga is the birthplace of ninjutsu and the ninja. Under these circumstances he grew up to be an excellent fighter. His first fight he beat at the age of 16 years and came so quickly to praise and recognition. The blades are made of carbon steel and feature a decorative bevel. The handles are equipped with traditional round Menukis and a skate-like skin surface. The tsubas die-cast zinc are all provided with uniform perforations. All the sheaths are decorated with ornaments. This comprehensive set consists of a tanto, a wakizashi, a katana and a black lacquered sword stand.
